I remain bullish on SHOP, but volatility ahead!
When a company is facing turmoil, it's important to look at their past actions and how they have behaved in similar circumstances before. Shopify has been one of the best companies revealed by its behavior during difficult times; shares skyrocketed last year but are down 77% as we speak due to mostly this quarters slow growth rate which many investors attribute towards increased competition from larger firms like Amazon (FBA).
Their acquisition of Deliverr is encouraging as they move towards solving the last-mile deliveries
The company has made a major acquisition by acquiring logistics start-up Deliverr for $2.1 billion in last week's first quarter earnings release, which allows them to provide more services and capabilities for merchants and achieve faster more reliable delivery times to their customers, or in a nut-shell, give its customers the ability to compete with Amazon.
